Our Sustainability Mission

November 25, 2024

Safety, in every way.

At Sunfish Services, we are dedicated to providing the best possible safety solutions. This extends to our environmental impact – we want to do our part to keep the planet safe! It’s important to us that this is reflected in our company ethos as well as our services, which is why we have made a commitment to reduce our carbon emissions and increase our sustainability as a business.

Our goal is to reach Net Zero by 2050. We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next 5 years by 20%, meaning that we should achieve Net Zero by 2049. Whilst there may be a difference between actual and Net Zero carbon, it is envisioned that with the use of technologies such as carbon capture, we can achieve the difference. We also seek to use carbon offsetting to assist in this.

So, what have we done already?

  • We hold regular meetings to review our Environmental Policy and Carbon Reduction Plan
  • Ongoing internal and external audits to ensure our compliance
  • We’ve started the migration of the petrol and diesel vehicle fleet over to electric, and installed a vehicle charging point at our Head Office
  • We’re reducing our face-to-face meetings and site visits to decrease unnecessary travel
  • All of our packaging materials are recycled and we do not purchase any single-use plastic
  • We’ve installed LED lighting throughout Head Office

We realise there is a long way to go when it comes to sustainability, and there is so much more we are striving to achieve.

Our future measures include:

  • Continued migration of the petrol and diesel vehicle fleet over to fully electric vehicles, aiming to be fully electric by 2030
  • Regular reviews of our Carbon Reduction Plan and Environmental Policy
  • Offset unavoidable business travel and carbon emissions
  • Optimise stock holdings and part shipments to reduce the quantity of individual shipments
