Why is my fire alarm beeping?
First, make sure that a fire has not broken out in your building – a continuous beeping typically means that the detector has identified a fire. If not, then your fire alarm could be beeping for multiple reasons. An intermittent beeping could mean:
- The batteries need replacing
- Your alarm needs replacing
- Your alarm needs cleaning
Never take the batteries out of your alarm if it goes off by mistake as this will stop it from alerting you to a real fire.
If your alarm needs maintenance, or you are in need of a new alarm system, we would be more than happy to help. Contact our team on 01332 865091 to talk with an expert.

How many fire alarms do I need?

How does a fire alarm control panel work?
Different panels work differently – it all depends on the type of panel and the brand. Generally, the job of a fire alarm panel is to monitor all the devices within a fire alarm system and respond to any signals they send.
The fire alarm control panel is not a fire alarm, and does not detect the fire itself.
